Fortunate. That's how I feel about my professional experiences and adventures over these past years, encompassing the corporate arena as well as small business and start up companies. The opportunities have been at the bottom and top of the ladder, and on every rung.

Post college graduation my career started with Procter & Gamble, one of the leading CPG companies in this country. A strong entrepreneurial streak led me to the March of Dimes, a national non-profit organization and then to Weight Watchers, International, the most recognized weight-loss company in the United States. Next, the adventure led to a then new technology company, Cellular One. I was among the first 10 employees hired and for eight years I rode the emerging cellular technology explosion that is ubiquitous today. What a thrill ride it was.

As Director of Marketing position at Bright Light Visual Communications preceded my co-founding Sawyer Industries, Inc., a company that manufactures, distributes and sells food products for a social cause - raising money for the Boomer Esiason Foundation for Cystic Fibrosis.

Taking a BBQ Sauce that was competing on the National BBQ Sauce Competition circuit (yes, there really is such a thing) to hundreds of retail stores was another roller coaster ride. I've offered many silent thanks to Paul Newman and one personally to his daughter, Nell, for creating a "give back" footprint. She, too, was working her booth at a national food show.

Clean Environmental Technologies Corporation, another emerging technology company targeted to the hazardous waste industry, offered me the director/executive vice president position, followed by Spirited Journey Marketing.
